This R&amp;D initiative represents a significant step in advancing the circular bioeconomy.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/prosperbioplastics\/\"><em>Prosper Bioplastics<\/em><\/a> is co-funded by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) under the Horizon Europe program, along with the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC). By improving the sorting and recycling processes, <em>Prosper<\/em> aims to prove the technical and financial feasibility of large-scale industrial adoption of bio-based plastics recycling, paving the way for more effective management of bio-based materials.<\/p>\n\n<p>GCR will leverage its expertise in recycling technologies to establish optimal sorting, washing, and extrusion processes for bioplastic recycling. Our involvement includes leading demonstration activities, conducting pilot trials with sorted bioplastics, and contributing to the manufacturing of end products made from these recycled materials.<\/p>\n\n<p>Through <em>Prosper<\/em>, we are committed to driving practical solutions that will enhance bio-based plastics recyclability and support the industry\u2019s shift towards sustainable practices. Working closely with our partners, we\u2019re confident that our contributions will play a key role in creating a future where bio-based plastics are efficiently managed and recycled, helping to reduce their environmental impact.
