GCR Releases Its 2024 Sustainability Report: Real Progress Toward a Circular Future

We are pleased to share the GCR 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting the meaningful progress we’ve made in circularity, carbon reduction, and responsible growth

This report, developed in line with the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, outlines our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, including key actions taken over the past year to improve our impact and ensure we can respond effectively to future challenges.

2024 highlights include:

Environmental Impact: 274,400 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided by replacing virgin materials with more sustainable alternatives

Growth and Capacity Expansion: Commissioning of our Castellet i la Gornal plant, one of Europe’s largest single-site mechanical recycling facilities, with 100,000 tonnes/year of capacity

Energy and Efficiency: 1.58 GWh of solar energy generated at our La Bisbal facility, with full output projected for 2025

Innovation and Certification: €17.1 million invested in technology and infrastructure, alongside certifications including ISO 14067, ISCC PLUS, RecyClass.

Talent and Inclusion: A growing, diverse workforce made up of 23 nationalities, with ongoing investments in training, safety, and leadership development
