QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

1. Introduction

This policy is mandatory for all GCR personnel and is available to both employees and external collaborators through the corporate website (http://www.gcrplasticsolutions.com/). Employees can also access it via the HR platform, the Document Management System and/or the noticeboards at GCR sites.

2. Objective

This policy shall be appropriate to the purpose and context of the organisation, support its strategic direction, and provide a framework for setting quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety objectives. It also includes a commitment to fulfil applicable requirements and to the continual improvement of the integrated management system.

3. Scope

GCR designs, develops, produces and markets recycled polymers, compounds and mineral masterbatches based on virgin and/or recycled raw materials.

4.2. Integrated Management System Commitments

The Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) constitute the fundamental pillars of GCR’s Integrated Management System (IMS). Together with sustainability, these pillars guide all our activities towards excellence and value creation for customers and interested parties.

GCR is committed to innovation and continuous investment in advanced technology to ensure efficient processes and high-quality, environmentally sustainable products within a safe and healthy working environment, while fulfilling applicable requirements. GCR is committed to the continual improvement of its processes, whose risks are assessed in advance so that improvement actions can be established within the integrated management system.

4.2.2. Environmental Commitments

GCR integrates environmental protection into its business strategy and is committed to:

• Optimise raw material consumption, promoting the efficient use of resources and minimising losses associated with production processes
• Improve energy and water efficiency by reducing water and energy consumption and promoting measures aimed at the responsible use of natural resources
• Reduce emissions, particulate matter, noise and odours, as well as the carbon footprint arising from our activities, contributing to climate change mitigation
• Protect biodiversity and ecosystems, minimising the environmental impacts associated with our operations
• Promote the circular economy, prioritising the reduction, reuse, sorting and recovery of the waste generated.
• Prevent soil and water pollution, with a focus on preventing pellet and microplastic losses in operations under GCR’s control, working towards zero losses to the environment and applying the principles of Operation Clean Sweep (OCS Europe)

4.2.3. Occupational Health and Safety Commitments

The safety, health and well-being of people are a priority for GCR. The organization is committed to:

5. Implementation and Responsibility

These commitments are reflected in quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety objectives, which are monitored periodically and reviewed annually by General Management.

GCR General Management approves this policy and undertakes to provide the resources necessary for its implementation, maintenance and continual improvement, with the QMS, EMS and OH&S functions responsible for its coordination.

This policy is communicated and implemented at all levels of GCR; it is available to relevant interested parties and is reviewed periodically to ensure its continued suitability.

6. Reference Documentation

GCR holds management system certifications including ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 14064 (corporate carbon footprint), ISCC PLUS (corporate sustainability), OCS Europe (microplastic releases into the environment) and an IATF Letter of Conformance (quality in the automotive sector); as well as product-related certifications such as ISO 14067 (product carbon footprint calculation), Recyclass Recycling Process (recycled content in products), OK Compost Home and Industrial (home and industrial compostability of the product), and OK Biodegradable Soil (biodegradability of the product in soil). In addition, GCR operates in accordance with other international standards, such as ISO 45001.
